 What I am reading in today's first reading, again from the prophet Jeremiah, is the need to continuously start afresh.

We start building something and then all of the sudden it crashes down on us.

Let's start afresh.

We form relationships hoping they will last but sometimes they don't.

We try to consider all the possibilities but we end up making mistakes.

Let's start afresh.

We work on ourselves thinking we are making progress until something challenging comes along and tests us.
