Before I formed you in the womb I knew you

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you".

I have always found this passage from the prophet Jeremiah very reassuring.

Knowing that somebody knows you before you were even born: how can it not be reassuring!

Somehow it makes me think of a plan for each and everyone of us.

But then again, what is this plan?

Yesterday's gospel was about branches bearing fruit.

The plan must be to bear fruit, to become a better person, a better human being.

To do this, we must know and go back to our true selves, who we were, who we were supposed to be before being born.
